The FREEMAN EXPERIENCE invites you for a mystical adventure through the spirituality of electronic sound, to discover the sacred trance and the evolution of the spiritual sound
WHAT IS THE FREEMAN EXPERIENCE?
THE FREEMAN EXPERIENCE FESTIVAL IS MORE THEN THE MEETING OF SACRED TRANCE MUSIC AND ELECTRONIC MUSIC
The evolution of the sound and the rituality of the trance has always been a part of the human history used for healing and for the expression of joy or sadness.
We were searching for the real history of the spirituallity and the sacred sound to discover the trance in the forms of the music and silence. Our searching lead us to the Sahara desert. With this festival and the fusion of sacred music with electronic music we found a way to preserve the sacred trance music and to prepare it for the future. To give the intimate experience of a sacred trance sound ritual.
This festival is for all who want to join this experience in Sahara desert which means an area sized about 9.200.000 km² (3.552.140 miles²) This is the place where all people can come together from all over the world to get in touch with the tradition of trance in Sahara desert. Hopefully we can use the heritage and their storys and knowledge as a gateway to the true value of our selfs as human beeings in our entirety.
What is sacred trance?
Sacred means holy, ancient a treasured, so the trance was created by the mystical and spiritual masters of the old times. The music was used for healing and to get in touch with the spirits. There are different traditions of music in north afria to create trance, like the tradition of the JILALA, GNAWA, ISSAWA, HMADCHA. For thousands of years they have the ritual to go for one night into the trance. This night of trance is called lila.
